Please answer question 1 and Question 2 separately DO NOT answer as a whole.
Question 1—Figure 10.1 in our textbook (along with associated writing on the topic) describes the 10 principal components related to strategy execution, which comprise the focus of the final three chapters in the first half of our book. In this forum, you need to select two of the 10 components to discuss in your post (be clear which ones–#1?, #2?), and then locate at least one scholarly (peer-reviewed) journal source that supports each selected component in the strategy execution process (for a total of minimum two sources—one for each component you selected). What does the scholarship or research reveal about the importance of the components you selected? Why are they important as strategic elements? Remember to use only scholarly articles (minimum two). However, three total scholarly sources are required with your post, so you may utilize your textbook as needed to support your informed assertions.
Question 2—[In each week’s DQ#2, we will examine a case from our textbook and available resources, and discuss some pertinent questions that will support our skill development in the use of strategic planning instruction from the current week. These DQ#2’s do not require citations and references; they are intended to engage your critical thinking and assess your synthesis of key topics for the week.]
This forum will examine the e-commerce giant Amazon. In case you do not already purchase products through Amazon, take a few moments to locate overview information on the web. Then, go to our course textbook (Thompson, Peteraf, Gamble & Strickland, 2015), Part 2, Case 28, and read the case regarding Amazon’s Big Data Strategy (C-403 – C-413). From the case, answer the following questions, being as specific as possible:
Describe elements of Amazon’s corporate strategy that appear most significant.
What do you determine to be the key(s) to Amazon.com’s successful strategy execution?
How do the five components of the “Big Data Process” (Exhibit 4, C-409) contribute to Amazon’s involvement with other companies? Why is this important?
Finally, based on your assessment, what can you apply to organizational work in your sector from what you in the Amazon case?
