Pick a day between today and Thursday…and note the forecast….write down the hi temp, low temp, winds and weather forecast for the next day and two days later….for instance, if today is Tuesday, you could cut and paste from the page the following….

Wednesday

Sunny, with a high near 70. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.

Thursday

A chance of showers, mainly before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Then, on Friday, go to the BWO observations for the last 3 days at this site and see how they did with their one and two day forecast. https://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KBWI.html (Links to an external site.)

Send me your analysis of their accuracy. Try to explain any big errors….rapidly changing weather, something unexpected, etc….

If you try to do this later than Thursday, you will not be able to complete the lab in time….as the Friday and Saturday forecasts would have to be evaluated on Sunday, and the due date is Sunday midnight…..
