i need help writing a summary report on an article that adheres very specifically to the professor s requirements

Hello lovely writers!

For my History of the Modern Americas university course, I need to write a summary report (more details below) on an article published in the “NACLA Reporting on the Americas.” I will include an excerpt from the Professor about what his expectations are for this assignment.

Excerpt from Professor: “Please use both a title page and a works cited page (neither of these pages count toward your 4 pages of text). In your works cited page, compose your article entry in a format like this:

Nidia Bautista, “Justice for Lesvy: Indifference and Outrage in Response to Gender Violence in Mexico City,” NACLA Report on the Americas website (July 31, 2017).

In terms of the content of each report, I am looking for two main points of discussion. First, you should devote the first half of the report to a summary of the main points in the article that you selected. To help you to address this issue, consider some of these questions: What is the main issue being discussed? (i.e. immigration, elections, education, environment, women’s issues, crime, etc.) Who are the main personalities mentioned in the article? (i.e. Enrique Peña Nieto, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, President Trump, etc.) How does the issue affect the people of the country mentioned in the article? Does the issue have any connection with United States interests? In other words, please try to be as objective as possible during this portion of the assignment.

And for the second point of discussion, please analyze the article that you selected and present your point of view on the story. For example, how do you feel about the story? How did this article contribute to your understanding about modern Latin America? And what do you think about the author’s perspective on the article? I encourage you to present your views as you discuss this portion of the assignment.”

My professor has provided three links that discuss issues in Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean (Cuba, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic) I have chosen an article to write the report about from the Canada section and I will include its link below. However, I want to give you as much flexibility as possible as writers and as such, I will include the direct link that leads you to these other libraries in case you find it easier to write about a different article.

This is the link to the article I chose from the Canada section: https://nacla.org/news/2019/08/01/canada%E2%80%99s-broken-pledge-human-rights-defenders

1. In case you would like to choose a different article, here is the link that includes all the issues under the Canada section: https://nacla.org/tags/canada

2. In case you would like to choose a different article, here is the link that includes all the issues under the Mexico section: https://nacla.org/tags/mexico

3. In case you would like to choose a different article, here is the link that includes all the issues under the Cuba section: https://nacla.org/tags/cuba

4. In case you would like to choose a different article, here is the link that includes all the issues under the Puerto Rico section: https://nacla.org/tags/puerto-rico

So “In summary, all you need to do is construct a series of clear and coherent paragraphs about this. Make sure your paragraphs are in the range of about 1/3 to 3/4 of a page. Don’t write any paragraphs longer than one page, and please be sure that all your paragraphs have at least 5 sentences. Avoid run-on sentences and sentence fragments. Ideally your review should be about 2/3 of a summary of the article’s main points, and about 1/3 with your perspectives on the article.”

Instructions

Create a PowerPoint presentation that you might deliver to administration on the following topic:

Gender Discrimination and Sexual Harassment

In the presentation, you need to explain federally prohibited gender discrimination, sexual harassment in the workplace, and the role of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Also, discuss affirmative action plans your company may institute. The purpose of the presentation is to educate administration on prevention and detection of workplace discrimination. Provide a transcript of what you might say for each slide in the notes section.

The PowerPoint should have at least 10 slides, not including a title slide with the title and your name and a reference slide(s) with five to seven references (citing at least two from the CSU Online Library). It should follow APA style for citing and referencing.

according to the table answer question

1.2 Explain the meaning of the coefficients (including the constant) in the following two senses:

What do the coefficients mean mathematically? Use the estimated values in your answer.

What are some economic reasons why the coefficients might take on the values that they do?

1.3 You can use your estimated coefficients to form a linear function predicting the probability of a disability for either sex at any age. Solve this equation to find the age at which the predicted probability of a disability for a female is equal to 0. Remember that for a female, the variable male = 0. For what age range is the predicted probability of a disability < 0 for a female? (5 + 5 = 10 marks)

1.4 Solve this same equation to find the age at which the predicted probability of a disability for a female = 1. For what age range is the predicted probability of a disability >1 for a female? (5 + 5 = 10 marks)

1.5 Briefly explain what both of these findings tell you about the problem of estimating a linear regression when the dependent variable is a binary variable (either 1 or 0). (10 marks)

2.2 Explain the meaning of the coefficients (including the constant) in the following two senses:

What do the coefficients mean mathematically? Use the estimated values in your answer. (15 marks)

What are some economic reasons why the coefficients take on the values that they do? (15 marks)

one scenario

Respond to one of the following five scenarios.

1. A police officer who is required to uphold the law pulls over a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign. The police officer speaks to the driver, and he states he was upset because he just lost job, he is behind in bills, and he will be put out of his apartment by the end of the day. The police officer still writes the driver a ticket.

Using at least 100 words, discuss why you think the police officer was/was not right by giving the driver a ticket. In your response, include what ethical implications exist, if any.

2. You observe a co-worker arrive late to work every day. You know the tardy policy is strict. The employee asks you to not tell the manager. She tells you the reason she arrives late to work is because she has to walk because she cannot afford a car or to pay for public transportation.

Using at least 100 words, discuss why you should/should not report the co-worker for violating the tardy policy. In your response, include what ethical implications exist, if any.

3. You overhear the HR manager say there will be massive layoffs right before the holiday, and then he begins to laugh. You also overhear the HR manager say he cannot wait to clean out the building and bring in his own friends. You become worried with the news you hear.

Using at least 100 words, discuss why you should/should not report what you have overheard and who you should contact. In your response, include what ethical implications exist, if any.

4. You notice that the safe at your work was left open overnight, and the deposits from the weekend had not been taken to the bank. Your family member desperately needs money for a medical procedure. You know there are many people who have access to the safe and there are no video cameras monitoring the safe.

Using at least 100 words, discuss what you would do in this situation. In your response, include what ethical implications exist, if any.

5. You have been trying to fill an open position at your work for months, but you cannot seem to find the right candidate for the job. Your friend gives you a call because she just lost her job and is looking for a new one. You know this friend is unreliable when it comes to arriving to work on time. Your manager advised you that you must fill the job immediately as the position has been open for too long.

Using at least 100 words, discuss why you should/should not hire your friend for this position. In your response, include what ethical implications exist, if any.m

brief self report inventories

For psychologists, finding out the emotional and physical status of the client is one reason for administering personality assessment instruments. How the client answers questions regarding his or her current state of being can provide the psychologist with self-report data, information individuals report about themselves, which can offer clues to the client’s personality. One way for psychologists to gather self-report data is through the use of surveys, which require direct answers such as the Brief Symptom Inventory or Beck Depression Inventory-II. These assessments are also referred to as brief inventories. How and when might these self-report inventories be helpful to psychologists?

For this Discussion, review this week’s Learning Resources. Consider a situation in which a brief inventory would be appropriate to use with a client and what information it might reveal. Then, think about a situation in which a brief inventory would be inappropriate, or even counterproductive, and why. Finally, reflect on any challenges that might be inherent in relying on self-report data from brief inventories.

With these thoughts in mind:

Write a description of one situation in which a brief inventory would be appropriate and explain why. Then describe one situation in which a brief inventory would be inappropriate or even counterproductive and explain why. Finally, explain at least two challenges inherent in relying on self-report data from brief inventories.

acnt 2337 international financial reporting

The first assignment is a paper on whether the US should adopt IFRS or not. The US had committed to IFRS under the Bush administration. The IFRS and FASB boards were working on on converging the standards.

The financial crisis happened and the Obama administration put the conversion on hold and then decided not to do it. While convergence has had a couple big wins recently in the new Revenue and Lease standards that are pretty much the same, the convergence effort is supposed to stop.

Please discuss whether it makes sense for the US to review its decision. Think about some of the following,

1. Impact on investor being able to see the same accounting being applied for similar companies across the globe.

2. Impact on loss of ability to control the standards (i.e. The SEC stepped in and changed implementation of mark to market in the middle of the financial crisis to not cause more issues than were already happening. FASB alas has alot of power and would have to give up most of that..

3. Use the european model of IFRS. Europe had not implemented all IFRS standards so they have a hybrid of standards

4. Ease on auditors across the globe. when auditing different multinational companies.

Again, there are no right and wrong answers. The paper should be at least 2 pages double spaced.

discussion 3 104

Read the article “It’s Getting Harder to Talk About Religion” by Jonathan Merritt which can be found in the “Discussion #3” folder in the “Course Content” module.

Merritt produces data to suggest that Americans increasingly avoid spiritual conversations and that a shared American “spiritual vocabulary” is in decline. He points to one practical consequence: as more Americans stop having spiritual conversations, religious and political leaders use spiritual language in a growing vacuum to advance causes that blatantly oppose religious values.

To quote Merritt: “That toothy televangelist keeps using spiritual language to call for donations to buy a second jet. The politician keeps using spiritual language to push unjust legislation. The street preacher keeps using spiritual language to peddle the fear of a fiery hell. They can dominate the conversation because we’ve stopped speaking God. In our effort to avoid contributing to the problem, we can actually worsen it.”

In your initial post, use what you’ve learned about spirituality and religion in this class to explain why you agree or disagree with Merritt’s thesis.

In replies all the members of your group, find points of either agreement or disagreement and build on your classmates’ thoughts.
